Lisa Schapiro
Educational Consultant
Lisa earned her master’s degree in teaching from Towson University and began her career as a
preschool teacher and administrator, sparking a lifelong dedication to education and supporting
children and families. For more than nine years, she served as an Educational Specialist in an
ambulatory pediatric clinic within a local hospital system, where she partnered with hundreds of
families to navigate school supports and advocate for their children’s learning needs.
Lisa’s expertise bridges both the medical and educational fields, with a deep understanding of
the special education process and the challenges faced by students with ADHD, specific learning
disorders, autism, and those with complex medical diagnoses. She has collaborated with schools across the region to ensure children receive the services and resources they need to thrive academically and emotionally.
Through her work, Lisa provides families with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively
advocate for their children, bridging the gap between home, school, and healthcare to create a
path for lasting academic and personal success.
Based in Maryland, Lisa partners with clients across the region, and around the world. She is an active member of HEAL (Hospital Educator and Academic Liaison Association) and
COPAA (Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates), reflecting her commitment to continued professional growth and advocacy for families.
